What is Metadata Fix?
It's a web tool that repairs and synchronizes face region metadata in your photos across MWG, Microsoft Photo, and IPTC Extension standards. This is useful when face tags break after rotation, re-editing, or moving photos between different software.
What file formats are supported?
JPEG, PNG, HEIC/HEIF, and WEBP are fully supported. TIFF files can be uploaded and will be converted to JPEG for processing.
Does it work with Tag That Photo, DigiKam, Lightroom, or other apps?
Yes. We write metadata using the same standards those applications read, so face tags will be recognized correctly after export.
Pricing & Credits
Do I need a subscription?
No. The Free plan gives you 5 images per month at no cost. If you need more, you buy a one-time Image Pack. There are no recurring charges.
Do Image Pack credits expire?
Never. Credits remain in your account until you use them, regardless of how long it takes.
Can I stack multiple Image Packs?
Yes. If you buy two Small packs, you'll have 100 credits. Purchases always add to your existing balance.
What happens when my pack runs out?
You fall back to the 5 images/month free allowance. Buy another pack anytime to top up.
I'm a Tag That Photo subscriber — is there a discount?
Yes — TTP subscribers get 100 free images per month at no charge. Register on the login page using your TTP email to unlock this.
Privacy & Security
Are my photos stored?
Only temporarily during processing. All images are automatically deleted within hours. We do not retain, share, or analyze your photos.
Is my payment information secure?
Payments are handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Where is my data processed?
Processing runs on AWS infrastructure in Canada (ca-central-1). Images are held temporarily in isolated, encrypted storage and purged automatically.

How do I create an account?
Visit the login page and click "Create Free Account". Enter your email and choose a password — no credit card required.
How do I check my image credit balance?
Log in and visit My Account. Your current balance and purchase history are shown there.
